Directions: Located one mile northeast of Plattsmouth. Follow Main Street of Plattsmouth east, turn left after crossing the railroad tracks, onto Schilling Refuge Road.

Bordered by the Missouri and Platte Rivers. With 25 acres of water, it provides resting, feeding, and limited breeding grounds for waterfowl. The area is open to fishing and hunting, subject to special area regulations. There are also picnicking, nature observation, wildlife photography and hiking opportunities. Here you may also visit the confluence of the Platte and Missouri Rivers, as site visited by the Lewis and Clark Expedition on their trek west. The area is open to the public daily from April 1st through October 14th from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. No overnight camping is allowed.
