The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum
Holds Family Fun Carnival Saturday August 5, 2017

ASHLAND, NE (June 27, 2017) – Beat the heat and visit the Strategic Air Command and
Aerospace Museum for its annual indoor carnival. The Family Fun Carnival is included in the
cost of general admission so guests can peruse the museum and participate in all the fun family
activities. The carnival will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Family Fun Carnival features special amusements and attractions including:

  • Giant shuttle slide and two bounce houses
  • Strolling magician
  • Children’s face painting by a friendly clown
  • A science demonstration performed by t he museum’s Mad Scientist
  • A variety of carnival games with prizes
  • Balloon animals and so much more!

Additional Attractions
The museum is open until 5:00 pm on Saturday and guests can take advantage of the museum’s
state of the art high-definition flight simulators, Black Holes Exhibit, Children’s Learning

The carnival is part of paid admission. Parking is free. Standard admission rates: Adult $12,
Military and seniors $11, Youth age 4-12 are $6 and Youth 3 or younger are free.


About the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum: Located between Lincoln and Omaha near Interstate 80, utilizes
over 300,000 square feet of exhibit, education, and event space. Organized in 1959, the original mission of the museum was
to commemorate the contributions of the Strategic Air Command, which until 1992 was headquartered at Offutt Air Force
Base. The museum moved to its current location in 1998 upon completion of a new indoor facility. The museum houses an
impressive collection of military aircraft and space artifacts, many of which have been restored in the museum’s on-site
restoration facility. To better serve the community, the museum offers STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics) education opportunities for students, teachers, families, and adult learners. Traveling exhibits, permanent
exhibits, and a variety of special events provide additional unique experiences for the museum’s members and guests.
