Schoolhouse Fiddle Camp for Beginners

Fiddle Camp for Beginners is Monday, June 14 - Friday, June 18. This camp includes some of the basics and fun of fiddling, such as performing in public, practice techniques, reading music, playing y ear, and jamming. Fiddling styles include bluegrass, Cajun, Irish, Klezmer, old-time, and newly composed tunes by the campers. Movement and singing are included in the experience.

Fiddle Camp for Intermediate/Advanced Fiddlers is Monday, July 12 - Friday, July 16, 2010. Campers will discuss picking tunes for contests, performing in public, practice techniques, reading music, playing by ear, playing for dancers, back-up fiddling, arranging twin fiddle pieces , and jamming. Many fiddling styles will be represented, including original compositions by the campers.

Pumpkin Festival at Bloom Where You're Planted Farm
You're invited to our sixth-annual pumpkin patch festival! Activities include: hay rides, corn box, nature trail, hay climb, farm animals, multiple play areas, pumpkin painting, dress-a-scarecrow, duck races, agricultural exhibits and more. A restored one-room schoolhouse houses the Schoolhouse Café, where hungry visitors can enjoy smoked pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, and pie. A second concession area in the barn offers fresh popcorn and a variety of treats. Also located in the barn are a large gift shop and shopping area filled with loads of pumpkins, gourds, and squash grown on the farm. Start a new fall tradition this year!
