The Oxbow Trail has definitely been in Nebraska longer than Elmwood and Murdock have been towns! The trail originally went through many small towns in Nebraska, including Plattsmouth and Nebraska City. The trail is no longer accessible, but you can learn a lot about it. The trail is near Highways 1 and 34 and also Interstate 80. It also went near the Platte River. Follow the trail and think about your ancestors as they ventured to this new frontier.
